Registration, Payment, and Course Information


Q. Are you an approved provider recognized by New York State?
A. Yes. We are a New York State Department of Education approved and authorized provider for: 1) School Violence Prevention and Intervention Workshop, 2) Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect Workshop, and 3) Needs of Students with Autism Training.

Q. Upon completion of the course, when will I receive my certificate?
A. You may receive your official certificate immediately upon completion of any of our courses. The options to receive it are: 1) Self-print, 2) Self-email and 3) Mailed via USPS. If mailed, it will arrive in 7 to 10 business days. Note that all options provide the same official certificate. The Self-print option is the quickest option.

Q. When I register for a course, will my information be secure and private?
A. Yes. We do not share your registration information with any third party. Our business adheres to strict security and confidentiality measures. We do not collect very sensitive information such as SSN# and DOB (Date of Birth). We advise that you not provide such information on any website unless it is a legitimate government agency.

Q. May I register for multiple courses? If so, how?
A. You may optionally pay for one, two, or three courses in a single registration, and you will receive a discount. Once you have completed one course, you will have the option to continue with the next course without having to register again.

Q. May I complete a course in multiple sessions and is there a time requirement?
A. Yes. Log on and off as many times as you wish. The timer feature keeps track of both total time and time spent on each chapter regardless of how many times you log off and log on. There is a minimum time requirement for a course mandated by the State. There is no maximum time requirement.

Q. Is there a test for completion of the course?
A. Yes. It is a multiple-choice test. For the Violence Workshop and the Child Abuse Workshop, the test is not graded. For the Needs of Students With Autism Course, the passing grade is 60%.

Q. Are the courses known or referenced by other titles?
A. Yes, but they are the same course. The Schools Against Violence in Education workshop is known by many names: SAVE Workshop, S.A.V.E. Workshop, Safe Schools Against Violence in Education, Violence Prevention Workshop, and many others. The Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse Workshop is also known as: Child Abuse Prevention Workshop, Abuse Prevention Workshop, Mandated Reporter Workshop, and many others.

Q. What are the payment options?
A. Visa and MasterCard credit or debit card, American Express, Discover, and PayPal. We also accept payments via Western Union. Credit cards are the most convenient form of payment.

Q. What is an alternate method of payment for those who are not able to, or do not wish to pay with a credit card, bank card, PayPal or Western Union?
A. Please email us to arrange another method of payment such as mailing a certified check or money order.

Q. May an individual who does not reside in the U.S. take the course?
A. Yes. We accept all internationally approved credit cards. Western Union has offices worldwide and processes payments that may be sent to the U.S. Our system enables our customers to receive their certificate of completion anywhere in the world.

Q. What is the course timer for?
A. The State of New York requires a total time of at least two hours spent on the course. The timer feature assists individuals to meet this minimum requirement. There is a timer that records time spent on each chapter and a separate timer that records total time spent on the course. There is no maximum time requirement.

Q. How do I receive my official certificate of completion and how do I submit it to the State?
A. After completing the course, there are 3 convenient options to receive your official certificate of completion. The options are 1) Self-print, 2) Self-email, and 3) USPS mailing. Instructions are provided for you upon completion of the course. The certificate of completion includes an informational page on submitting your certificate to the State. We also provide copies of certificates free of charge should the need arise. Not all providers may offer this.

Q. Do I need to have a printer to use the certificate self-print option?
A. You may access and log into your account from another computer that has Internet access and is connected to a printer. Note that the computer requires Adobe Acrobat Reader which, the vast majority of computers have. If you are unable to access a computer with a printer, select the certificate email or mail option.

Q. I have a printer but upon completion of the course I was not able to print my certificate. Why?
A. First, test printing any other file or document to ensure your printer is functioning. Please note that Adobe Acrobat Reader is required on the computer from which you wish to print your certificate from. Our system will detect whether you have it or not. Adobe Acrobat Reader is available free on the Internet. If you still are not able to print your certificate, select the certificate mailing option.

Q. I do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader on the computer I wish to print my certificate from. How may I acquire Adobe Acrobat Reader?
A. A free download of Adobe Acrobat Reader is available on the Internet from: http://get.adobe.com/reader/. Please read the instructions. Note that there are other optional packages that are installed by default which, you may choose to not download.

Q. Is the certificate I printed an official certificate of completion, and is it accepted by the State?
A. Yes. The self-print option is the most convenient and fasted method for receiving your official certificate.

Q. Is there anything I need to do after receiving my certificate of completion?
A. Yes. The certificate of completion includes an informational page on submitting your certificate to the State. Please note that you must enter your social security number and date of birth on your certificate before mailing it to the State of New York. There is a copy for you to keep for your own records.

Q. Are there any potential issues with having my certificate mailed to me?
A. Although USPS provides dependable mail service, we cannot guarantee that the mailing of your certificate will not get misplaced or lost by USPS. Printing your own certificate is the most convenient and dependable option to acquire your official certificate of completion. If you have requested a mailed certificate, please contact us via email if your certificate is not received within 10 business days (14 business days outside the U.S.) from the date you submitted your mail request.

Q. Am I required to submit anything to anyone other than to the State?
A. No. Do not email or mail anything back to us. The only requirement is for you to mail your certificate of completion to the State. The certificate includes an informational page on submitting your certificate to the State. If your employer requests proof of completion you may send a copy to your employer.

Q. If I lose my certificate, am I able to acquire a replacement?
A. Yes. Your account does not expire and you may acquire official copies of your certificates free of charge. This is a service that other providers may not offer. Go to the workshop website and log in with the same email address and password you registered with. You will see an option to acquire a copy of your certificate.

Common Support Questions

Important: There are many possible combinations of computers, operating systems and browsers. As such, users may encounter issues that are unique to their computer unrelated to the course website.

Q. What computers and browsers work with the course?
A. Our website supports all versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 and above. We also support FireFox, Chrome, and Opera on both Windows and Apple computers. Safari for Mac and iPad tablets is supported.

Q. A page on your course website did not completely download to view. What should I do?
A. Click the "Refresh" button on your browser.

Q. The course timer has stopped. What should I do?
A. The timer runs while viewing chapters. It does not run while on the Table of Contents page. If the timer has paused on a chapter, click the "Refresh" button on your browser to reload the page. If that does not resolve the issue, reload the page by going to the previous chapter and then returning to the current chapter via the course Back and Next buttons (do not click the browser Back and Next buttons).

Q. I received a message that my email has already been used when trying to register for the course.
A. This means that you are already registered for this course or one of our other courses. You only need to register once regardless of how many courses you need to take from our online training. Click the "Click Here to Log In" button to either start your course or to select and pay for another course.

Q. I do not remember my account password or the system does not recognize my password. What should I do?
A. First, ensure that you are logging in with your email address and password exactly as created for your account. Your password is case sensitive. If you still are unable to login with your password, select the "Forgot your password? Click here" link. Your password will be emailed to the email address on your account. If you do not receive your email within 20 minutes, please check your junk or spam folder. If you have spam blocking enabled, please disable it, and execute the same password request feature.
